Jihyun Baik is a New York-based violinist, soloist, chamber musicIan, and educator. Born in South Korea, and inspired by her violin-teacher mother, she has appeared as soloist with the Sendai Philharmonic, Seoul Royal Symphony, and Württemburg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, and won First Prize at the Euroasia International Competition. A passionate collaborator, she performs regularly with Groupmuse and community-centered projects, and has recently worked with Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Heifetz Institute Ensemble in Residence, and Music for Youth in Connecticut. She holds a Master’s from Juilliard, and is currently pursuing a DMA at Manhattan School of Music.
