Susanna Eyton-Jones

Soprano

Montrealer Susanna Eyton-Jones performs a diverse repertoire of opera, chamber music, new music, oratorio, and song extensively in Europe and North America.

Several lead roles in film and soundtracks include A Bullet in the Head (Canada’s entry to the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Film), Clair Obscur, etc. She has recorded for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and her discography includes An Afternoon at the Opera; Matter; Different Angels; and Voice of the People.

Ms. Eyton-Jones holds a Master of Music degree from McGill University. She also studied at the Studio Lirico di Firenze, Oakland Opera Academy, the Banff Centre for the Arts and is a Laureate at international competitions including the Beniamino Gigli (Italy), Toulouse, (France), and in Canada at the Montreal Symphony Orchestra Competition and the National Competitive Festival.

She maintains a teaching studio in Montreal, has given masterclasses at various colleges and universities throughout North America and has recently co-founded Operatta, a company devoted to presenting opera in concert.
